BatteryBooster BB4
Indoor drive
During indoor drive, the drive engine gets its energy exclusively from the traction battery. For safety reasons and to preserve the capacity of the traction battery, indoor drive is always reduced to a low speed level of 10 km/h.
Outdoor drive
If the battery booster function is activated (diesel engine is started), the speed will automatically increase to the highest level. The drive engine gets the necessary energy from a powerful 30 kW generator. The excess energy is used for charging the traction battery.
